College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, and is the top-most veterinary educational and research institution in Kerala, India. The college runs plenty of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in veterinary sciences and animal husbandry. It has a highly selective, competitive admission process designed to identify the most promising and deserving students from across the Indian nation. The school generally starts admission between May and June for the academic year commencing in August and September. This institute takes applications for admission based on different national level entrance exams depending on the course. NEET-UG score is used primarily for undergraduate courses while postgraduate admissions are through exams including ICAR AIEEA. Undergraduate programs mandate that an applicant should have studied in a recognized board the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 10+2 level.
Because a majority of the courses have an aggregate criterion of 50%, the post-graduate candidate usually has to complete his/her relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized university in 55-60% marks or equivalent CGPA. Important dates for the admission procedure would differ for a specific program and a particular entrance exam. For example, for the coming academic year, among those dates scheduled would be ICAR AIEEA PG Veterinary counselling, which is to commence on January 6, 2025, where registration of candidates and payment of counselling fees would be involved. It is advised for all candidates to regularly visit the official college website and the respective exam websites for the latest updates on application deadlines, exam dates, and results announcements.

There are only 2 colleges in kerala which teach BVSc&AH. All the faculties are much experienced both in fields and in teaching. For 2016 batch onwards new VCI syllabus is followed. Clinical experience, laboratories, libraries etc are good enough. But increasing no of students is a big issue as it isdifficult to manage them in clinics and class
My course deals with Master of Veterinary Sciences. I would say the teaching pedagogy is outstanding. Curriculum is updated to the new Veterinary Council of India (VSI) syllabus. I believe in training and budding vets and the college trains me for just the same. This college believes in promoting hands on experience.
