IISER Pune Admission Process

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune admissions are offered at UG, PG and doctoral levels. IISER Pune admissions are offered to BS-MS dual degrees, MSc, Integrated PhD and PhD programmes. IISER Pune BS-MS Admission 2025

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune offers admission to BS-MS programme. Admission to the BS-MS programme at IISER Pune is coordinated through a pan-IISER Joint Admissions Committee for all IISERs across India. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam with the science stream are eligible to apply for IISER Pune BS-MS admission. Tabulated below are the IISER Pune eligibility criteria.

First, candidates will have to meet the IISER Pune BS-MS eligibility criteria.
Complete the application by uploading the necessary documents and making the appropriate payment.
Admission to the IISER Pune BS-MS programme is coordinated through the IISER Aptitude Test.

IISER Pune PhD Admission Process 2025

Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme will have to meet the IISER Pune PhD eligibility criteria.
Register online at the application portal of IISER Pune for the PhD programme.
For IISER Pune PhD admission, candidates must qualify a National Eligibility exam that provides a 5-year PhD fellowship such as CSIR–JRF/ UGC–JRF/ DBT–JRF–A/ ICMR–JRF/ DBT–BINC–JRF/ Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship/ Maulana Azad National Fellowship / National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students by CSIR-UGC / National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students / National Fellowship for OBC Candidates / National Fellowship for persons with disabilities (NFPWD).
Candidates should have qualified JEST or GPAT or NBHM in the last two years. INSPIRE-PhD fellowship (should be in possession of provisional selection letter at the time of Interview).
However, BS-MS/Masters students from any of the Institutes of National Importance with a CGPA 8 or above on a 10-point scale are exempted from national-level test eligibility-related criteria.
Qualified GATE exams (GATE Life Sciences, GATE Chemistry, GATE Eco-Evo, GATE Biotechnology, GATE Mathematics) or qualified JGEBILS (IISER Pune will shortlist based on the ranks of the students).
Candidates are shortlisted based on meeting the above criteria and then shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the interview.
Final admission is offered after the successful completion of document verification and fee payment.

The academics and teaching standard is great.The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is perfect, they teach us nice with good explanations. They are friendly to the students. They talk very nicely and softly to the students. None of the faculty is strict. The semester exams are a little difficult but if we study properly, we can score good.

Code 1 is applicable to those candidates who are in class xii , appearing for board exams .

Code 2 is for those candidates who are from nios / CBSE or ICSE board . Droppers must also apply code 2.

Code 3 - Those who have passed class xii board from any recognized university university with physics, chemistry and biology.

Code 4 - Those whk have given pre medical or pre professional Examination.

Code 5 - Those who have passed first year bsc .

Code 6 Those who have passed bsc from any recognized university.

I am scoring 123 in IISER Aptitude test 2022 as per the final answer key. Will I get IISER Pune?

Hello,

According to historical tendencies, you should.

This year, it will depend on how well students perform generally and the extent to which the increase in seats has an impact (this year, 75 percent of seats shall be filled via the SCB channel). That will ultimately determine which IISER you receive.

But in my opinion, with a score of 124, you should surely get admitted to IISER Pune.
