About IISER Pune
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in the year 2012. IISER Pune offers courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
IISER Pune offers BS-MS dual degree programme at UG level, Master of Science (MSc) programme at PG level and Integrated PhD (i-PhD) programme, PhD programme, Externally Funded PhD programme and International PhD programme at the doctoral level. IISER Pune admission to BS-MS programmes will be done based on the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). For admission to MSc courses, candidates need to clear IIT-JAM. For PhD admission at IISER Pune, candidates must meet eligibility criteria, take a national-level test, and pass an interview. Admission to Integrated PhD (i-PhD) programme, JGEEBILS/ JEST/ JAM/ NBHM followed by interviews.

Students who are admitted to BS-MS dual degrees at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research via the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel are offered a KVPY fellowship of Rs. 5,000. KVPY fellowships are offered as per the KVPY norms. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune offers admissions at three levels: UG, PG and doctoral. IISER Pune admissions are offered to BS-MS dual degrees, MSc, Integrated PhD and PhD programmes. For IISER Pune admission to the BS-MS dual degree course, candidates should apply through IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). In previous years, there were three channels of admission: Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel; Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced); and the State and Central Boards Channel. From this year, candidates will be admitted only through the State and Central Boards Channel wherein they would need to write an IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) for IISER UG admission. For IISER Pune MSc admission, candidates must pass IIT- JAM.
Candidates should take the appropriate entrance examination before applying for the IISER Pune admissions to the desired course. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune offers admission to BS-MS programme. - Appear for the IISER Aptitude Test conducted by Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research.
- Then, the authorities will release the IISER Aptitude Test cutoff on the official website.

- Candidates seeking admission to PhD programme will have to meet the IISER Pune PhD eligibility criteria.
- Register online at the application portal of IISER Pune for the PhD programme.
- For IISER Pune PhD admission, candidates must qualify a National Eligibility exam that provides a 5-year PhD fellowship such as CSIR–JRF/ UGC–JRF/ DBT–JRF–A/ ICMR–JRF/ DBT–BINC–JRF/ Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship/ Maulana Azad National Fellowship / National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students by CSIR-UGC / National Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students / National Fellowship for OBC Candidates / National Fellowship for persons with disabilities (NFPWD).
- Candidates should have qualified JEST or GPAT or NBHM in the last two years. INSPIRE-PhD fellowship (should be in possession of provisional selection letter at the time of Interview).
- However, BS-MS/Masters students from any of the Institutes of National Importance with a CGPA 8 or above on a 10-point scale are exempted from national-level test eligibility-related criteria.
- Qualified GATE exams (GATE Life Sciences, GATE Chemistry, GATE Eco-Evo, GATE Biotechnology, GATE Mathematics) or qualified JGEBILS (IISER Pune will shortlist based on the ranks of the students).
- Candidates are shortlisted based on meeting the above criteria and then shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the interview.
- Final admission is offered after the successful completion of document verification and fee payment.
IISER Pune Integrated PhD (i-PhD) Admission Process 2024
- Students who are interested in being admitted to the Integrated PhD course at IISER Pune must meet the IISER Pune i-PhD eligibility criteria.
- Eligible candidates must fill out and submit the online application form on or before the specified date.
- Candidates who are appearing or about to appear for final exams of the qualifying degree programme are eligible to apply for the Integrated PhD programme.
- Shortlisting will be made based on the marks obtained by the students in the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS)/ JAM / NBHM/ JEST.
- Candidates who have applied for admission or want to apply must note that filling out and submitting the application form does not guarantee that he/she will get shortlisted for interviews. It is upon the respective decision of departments. They can use additional criteria such as academic performance, and ranking at the national level of examinations such as JGEEBILS/ JAM/ JEST/ NBHM or any others for screening of the candidates.
- Shortlisted candidates who clear the entrance exam will be called for an interview.

Code 4 - Those whk have given pre medical or pre professional Examination.

Hello,
According to historical tendencies, you should.
This year, it will depend on how well students perform generally and the extent to which the increase in seats has an impact (this year, 75 percent of seats shall be filled via the SCB channel). That will ultimately determine which IISER you receive.
But in my opinion, with a score of 124, you should surely get admitted to IISER Pune.
