One of the reputed institutions in the field of veterinary education and research was established in the year 1972- The College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Parbhani. This COVAS, Parbhani sprawls over a sprawling campus of 197.684 acres and offers diverse programs in veterinary sciences. B.V.Sc Animal Husbandry:
1. Candidates should have applied through the designated respective state or national level veterinary entrance examinations.
2. After qualifying the entrance exam, the candidates need to be present for the counseling.
3. Then the candidate should submit all necessary documents, including the mark sheets of 10+2, scorecard of the entrance exam, and other certificates as mentioned by the institute.
4. The next step is to complete the payment of application and admission fees.
For M.V.Sc Programs:
1. Apply for the postgraduate entrance examination conducted by the university or the state authority.
2. After qualifying in the entrance exam, COVAS Parbhani M.V.Sc application form is to be filled out, which is available on its official website.
3. Necessary documents need to be submitted, including that of B.V.Sc. degree certificate, mark sheets, entrance exam scorecard, and any other relevant certificates.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.V.Sc Animal Husbandry: This is the foremost undergraduate program offered by COVAS Parbhani. With an intake of 64 students, the admission procedure is rather competitive for this 5-year course. Candidates are expected to have completed the 10+2 level of their schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their core subjects. The principal selection criterion is the candidate's performance in a state-level or national-level entrance examination for veterinary sciences.
M.V.Sc Programs: COVAS Parbhani offers 19 different M.V.Sc specializations including Poultry Science, Animal Biotechnology, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Physiology, Animal Genetics and Breeding, etc. Candidates are admitted onto those programs based on their V.S.C. degrees from some institution acknowledged by the relevant authorities. They will appear for a postgraduate entrance examination, also known as a screening test. Selected candidates will then undergo an interview.
Ph.D. Programs: The Ph.D. programs offered are in Veterinary Anatomy and Histology, and Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. Entry to these highly research-oriented programs essentially requires an M.V.Sc. in the relevant specialization. An entrance test and interview relating to the program, as well as an evaluation of the candidate's research proposal, may be included in the selection procedure.
