Crescent College of Education, Anantapur-a prestigious institution in teacher training. Merit primarily governs the admission processes in the case of the two main courses of study: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Both courses are designed as two-year, full-time programs to give the desire teacher the best of preparation. The entire admission process at Crescent College of Education is in sync with the policies of the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university.
Admission to both B.Ed and D.El.Ed programs is decided on the basis of either the performance of candidates in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations. Thus, any other selection process that may be prescribed at any time by the state and the university may also be considered by the college. Crescent College of Education is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), thus laying a guarantee that programs offered by it meet the national standards for teacher education.
Admission Process
The application procedure for both B.Ed and D.El.Ed programs at Crescent College of Education generally comprises the following steps:
1. Admissions Announcement: The college determines the date of commencement of the admission period and advertises the fact through various media and via the official college website.
2. Application Form: The candidates obtain and fill out an application form, which may be downloaded online or obtained from the college campus itself.

4. Entrance Examination: The candidates need to appear for an entrance examination if any, as per the norms of the concerned state government or university.
5. Merit list preparation: Based on performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test a merit list is drawn up.
6. Counseling and Seat allotment: Candidates to whom counseling is offered are called for counseling, and seats are allotted based on merit and availability.
7. Candidate Must Pay Fees: No adjustment must be made to the fees in regard to the present admission date.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education)-For the B.Ed. program of Crescent College of Education, there are 50 seats available for selected students aspiring toward becoming teachers. The admission procedure for B.Ed is affirmative for merit-based admissions, which are dependent upon the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or performance in the entrance test. The selection process is subject to the state government, with proceedings prescribed for the affiliated university. The eligibility criteria to apply for the B.Ed. are that candidates should have completed any undergraduate degree.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program also has an intake capacity of 50 seats. Admissions to this program are made purely based on merit of the candidates. Merit will be determined by performance either in the qualifying examinations or in the entrance examination. The selection process adheres to the state's and/or UT Administration services. Candidates for the D.El.Ed Program must have a certificate of Higher Secondary Examination (10+2).
