DAV College Amritsar was established in the year 1955 as one of the premier co-educational institutions situated in the main city of Amritsar in the state of Punjab. This affiliated college recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has been grooming the young generation for more than half a century. It is situated on a fairly small plot of 2 acres.The college currently has a student disposition of 2,751 enrollments with a gender spread of 1,834 male and 605 female students thus illustrating a responsive and diverse learning college. DAV College has a reputable faculty comprised of 122 dedicated teachers, due to which it has a good number of students in a class which also has a small lecture hall and a good student-faculty ratio.
The fact that the college offers all-round development, is evident from the fact that they have well-endowed sports facilities. College infrastructure is so good. The buildings are so big and beautiful. There are so many buildings for different courses. There are many canteens and parks in the university. There are also many places to sit and chill.

College infrastructure is fine. The buildings are grey and white. There are many blocks they are fully ac and WiFi is also available. There are many labs for chemistry, biology and different experiments are held there.

For admission into BCA course in DAV College, Chandiga, you need to have minimum 45 percentage to 50 percentage in 10+2 or Intermediate from a recognised Board. Also students must have Mathematics in their Matriculation.
You can pursue BCA without maths and computer in class 12th. Maths and Computer are not compulsory for BCA but in dav you need to have mathematics in 10+2 with minimum 45 percentage.
In order to be eligible for BCA course from Punjab university Chandigarh or dav college amritsar you Must have passed Class 12 with minimum 50% marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject so, according to its eligibility criteria candidates who belongs to non-math background will not be eligible for this course.
