Department of Law Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam admissions are offered at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. At undergraduate level the college offers 2 programmes, which are BA LLB and LLB. Admissions to these programmes are done through consideration of valid marks in the AP LAWCET examination. At postgraduate level the college deals with LLM courses, and the Department of Law Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam admissions are offered after consideration of a valid score in AP PGLCET.
Department of Law Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam admissions are also offered in PhD courses wherein the admissions are based on a valid score in NET/UGC-CSIR-NET/GATE/CEED examinations. Admissions to the Department of Law SPMVV for the UG and PG courses are carried out by the competent authority of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

For PhD admissions, the aspirant must appear in any one of the following exams - NET/UGC-CSIR-NET/GATE/CEED, the applicant has to register on the relevant official website.

Once an applicant has been allotted the seat in the course, they must download the letter and report to the institute, along with other valid documents.

Note - Merely appearing for the national/state level entrance examinations does not guarantee admission into the college. The applicant needs to qualify with an eligible score to be considered for the Department of Law SPMVV admissions.
Candidates must submit Class 10+2 mark sheets, graduation/postgraduation mark sheets, entrance exam scorecard, APSCHE allotment order, valid photo ID (Aadhaar/passport), transfer/migration certificate, caste/domicile certificates (if applicable), passport-size photographs, and fee receipt at the time of admission.
The Department of Law at SPMVV offers 16 LLM seats, with 8 seats per specialisation. Eligible candidates must hold a 3- or 5-year law degree and secure a valid AP PGLCET rank to participate in the counselling and seat allotment process.
For BA LLB, applicants must pass 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate and a valid AP LAWCET score. LLB candidates need a graduate degree with 45% marks and AP LAWCET qualification. Reserved category students receive prescribed relaxations in minimum marks.
Undergraduate admissions (BA LLB and LLB) require a valid AP LAWCET score. Postgraduate LLM candidates need an AP PGLCET rank. For PhD in Law, the department accepts NET/UGC-CSIR-NET, GATE, or CEED scores, followed by department-level application and assessment.
To secure admission, applicants must register for AP LAWCET (for BA LLB/LLB) or AP PGLCET (for LLM) on the APSCHE portal. After taking the exam, candidates check the CAP merit list and, if allotted a seat, report to SPMVV with original documents and pay fees to confirm admission. PhD aspirants register separately with valid NET/UGC-CSIR-NET/GATE/CEED scores and await the institute’s selection decision.
