Dr. A.H. Rizvi Degree College, Kaushambi, is a constituent college that provides various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The college has a merit-based admission procedure in most of its courses based on marks secured in the qualifying examination. The college is affiliated with C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur, and acts according to the guidelines of the university for admissions.
For undergraduate programs, the college takes into consideration the marks achieved in the intermediate or equivalent examination. The admission process usually starts after 12th standard results have been declared, with the college providing limited seats based on the allocation from the university. Postgraduate admissions are done on the basis of marks achieved in the concerned graduation or equivalent examination.
Application Process
The application procedure for Dr. A.H. Rizvi Degree College differs according to the program:
For Undergraduate Programs (BA, B.Com, B.Sc):
1. Once the results of 12th standard have been declared, interested candidates need to go to the college website or campus for application forms.
2. Fill in the application form with true personal and academic information.
3. Attach relevant documents, such as 12th mark sheet, character certificate, and other certificates as specified.
4. Submit the duly filled application form along with the specified fee to the college office or as specified.
5. The merit list will be prepared by the college on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying test.
6. Shortlisted students will be contacted and asked to finish the admission procedure within the specified time frame.
For Postgraduate Courses (MA and M.Sc):
1. Graduates holding appropriate degrees can apply for the concerned PG courses.
2. Download and fill the application form from the college website or campus.
3. Submit the filled-up form along with graduation mark sheets, provisional degree certificate, and other required documents.
4. The college will verify the applications and prepare a merit list based on graduation marks.

For B.Ed and D.El.Ed Programs:
1. For government quota (50% seats), apply through the centralized counseling procedure conducted by the UP government.

Degree wise Admission Process
BA, B.Com, and B.Sc: The entry process for these undergraduate courses depends on the merit of marks achieved in the intermediate or equivalent examination. The college takes admissions in a limited number of seats offered by C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. The sanctioned intake for BA is 360 seats, B.Com has 120 seats, and B.Sc has 240 seats.
MA Courses: For admissions in postgraduate courses in Urdu, Sociology, Education, Home Science, and Ancient History, the admissions are on merit of marks scored in the graduation or equivalent examination. For each MA course, there is an approved intake of 60 seats.
M.Sc Courses: M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology are the courses provided by the college. Admission is as usual in other postgraduate courses on the basis of graduation marks. Every M.Sc course has a sanctioned intake of 23 seats.
B.Ed: B.Ed course has a special admission procedure. Being a minority institution, 50% of the seats (from 100) are filled by counseling by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The other 50% are filled by an entrance test organized by the college. The entrance test is of objective type containing 150 marks (100 marks General Studies and 50 marks Hindi).
D.El.Ed: Like B.Ed, the D.El.Ed course has a split admission procedure. 50% of the 50 seats are taken through government counseling, and the rest through the entrance test of the college, which is similar to the B.Ed entrance test.
