Affiliated college EAST stands for Eastern Academy of Science and Technology, established in 2001 is located in Khordha, Odisha. Located on a beautiful area of 25.02 acres, EAST provides different programmes in engineering at the levels of both bachelors and masters. This institute takes students’ enrolment of 578 and is staffed by 31 faculty members.
EAST now has a number of amenities that may improve the learning process and personal growth of students. These include; 24/7 Wi-Fi connection, Television with cable subscription and Indoor games Most activities are done within the campus, which has separate compartments for Boys and Girls Hostels. Medical care is provided on compound by the college via a medical facility and attendance to first aid needs. A library and a digital one are well equipped to fulfill all the necessities related to academics. This IT infrastructure is quite significant, in a way that includes over 500 high end computers and a 15 Mbps high speed internet connectivity. EAST has also equipped language laboratory to enhance communication skills among students. Games and sports amenities and a gym are available to the students of the college for recreation and exercise. With a seating of more than 300, cafeteria has been constructed on two floors for the efficiency of two separate shifts.
The institute’s courses total to thirteen ranging from full time undergraduate and post graduate programs. The institution at the undergraduate level offers the Bachelor of Technology degree; Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The admission at EAST is mainly centralised and is based on Odisha JEE for all the level courses including undergraduate and post graduate levels. This state-level entrance exam would help in making the selectiveness criteria and competition standard for aspiring students. All the B.Tech programmes offered at this institute like CSE, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecom etc. include this admission process. Likewise, admissions to the M.Tech courses are done on merit scored in OJEE only.

Eastern Academy of Science and Technology (EAST), Khordha, is a well-known institute that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: EAST offers B.Tech programs in various streams of Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Admission to all the B.Tech programs is via the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) held by the state. The overall intake of the institution through these B.Tech programs is 435 seats.
M.Tech: M.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Machine Design are provided by the institute. Admissions to M.Tech programs are also made through state-level Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Intake per M.Tech program is 9-18 seats.
Diploma: EAST also offers Diploma courses in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admission process for diploma courses might be separate from B.Tech and M.Tech courses. Each diploma course has an intake of 60 seats.

College Infrastructure
The Eastern Academy of Science and Technology (EAST), located close to Bhubaneswar, is notable for its outstanding facilities that support both intellectual and individual development. The campus is well situated on the banks of the Prachi River, providing a peaceful setting that is perfect for concentrated learning. Students from all around the state may readily reach it due to its location between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The institute has state-of-the-art classrooms and fully furnished labs that offer experiential learning possibilities. With the help of DELNET and a campus that is completely Wi-Fi connected, students can easily access academic materials and online learning resources. EAST also provides clean hostels, a canteen, sports facilities, and special auditoriums for lectures and other activities. This all-encompassing infrastructure helps students.

Yes, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) reserves one seat in each B.Tech discipline for students from North-Eastern states, including Meghalaya
Admission Process:
1. You must have a domicile of Meghalaya and have appeared/passed the 10+2 examination from the state. Additionally, you need to meet the general eligibility criteria set by TIET for B.Tech admissions.
2. Apply through TIET's official admission portal within the specified deadlines. Ensure you select the appropriate category for North-Eastern states during the application process.
3. Admissions are based on the All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main 2025. Candidates with higher JEE Main ranks have better chances of securing admission.
