In Karnataka, there is a unique advantage for NCC 'B' certificate holders in securing medical seats.Yes, Karnataka is the only state in India to offer an NCC quota for undergraduate professional courses, including medicine (MBBS).Only NCC 'B' certificate holders who earned the certificate while studying in Karnataka between Class 11 and first-year degree are eligible for this quota.

These NCC cadets must have participated in the Republic Day camp conducted by the NCC DG (Director General).

Hello,

If you have the proper certificate of 10th and 12th including your marksheet then you can absolutely use them. Generally gaps are not asked in any of the colleges through NEET.

But some of the private colleges or the Universities/colleges which comes under State University may have to make affidavit for the gap period but that's rare and you need not worry much about that.

Apart from these , the basic eligiblity criteria for NEET are as follows -

  1. Candidates must have passed their 12th with Physics, chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects with atleast 45% for general and 40% for sc/st.
  2. There is no upper age limit criteria for it.

Hello Ganesh

You haven't mentioned your predicted score in neet so how can we say that will you get bams seat in Jhamkhandi , karnataka or not

Being obc candidate you will have bebefits of low cut off for category , also less fees but whether you will get bams seat depends upon cut off 2024 .

See cut off keeps changing every year and depends upon various factors such as number of students appeared , difficulty level of exam, previous year's cut off etc.

Neet qualifying marks for obc category candidate is 40 percentile

For getting bams in government college , with obc category you must get neet score between 250 to 300.

  • Previously, there was no rural service bond for MBBS students admitted through the All India Quota (AIQ) in Gujarat. This meant AIQ students weren't obligated to serve in rural areas after graduation.
  • However, in 2022, the Gujarat government implemented a new bond policy requiring all MBBS students, including those admitted through AIQ, to sign a bond for rural service.
  • If they choose not to serve the required period (typically one or two years) in government-run health centers in rural areas, they must pay a significant penalty (around Rs. 20 lakh for UG and Rs. 40 lakh for PG)

No, AIQ students are not eligible for state quota PG seats.AIQ seats for PG medical courses are separate from state quota seats. Students compete for these seats based on a national entrance exam (like NEET PG).

Hello aspirant

The open seat quota can be explained as 85% seats that the state has open to all the candidates of respective states irrespective of their caste while the All India seats  are 15 % seats provided by all medical colleges of the all states that are registered to medical Council of India .

In karnataka state total 3472 private quotambbs seats are available in 33 private medical colleges , in which 815 private mbbs seats are the open category . There is no reservation category for other state.

Now whether you can get open seat in private medical college depends upon cut off neet 2024.
