GCS College of Nursing, Ahmedabad, was established in the year 2015 as one of the premier nursing institutions in the state of Gujarat. This college is co-educational, saddle-bagged in the heart of the city of Ahmedabad, and affiliated and approved by the Indian Nursing Council. The GCS College of Nursing sprawls over a 25-acre campus and prepares and nurtures a plenitude of health personalities. With the present enrolment of 235 students, and the faculty strength of 26, this institution maintains an excellent student-to-teacher ratio to offer personalized attention and quality education.

From the array of facilities enhancing the learning experience of the students, one finds a state-of-the-art, fully centrally air-conditioned library equipped with 40 internet-enabled desktops, a reading room, and an e-library at the heart of the academic resources. These are supplemented by a fully-equipped audio-visual room for interactive learning and a well-stocked library containing books, journals, and magazines. GCS college of nursing provides well-equipped laboratories such as the Department of Anatomy, Department of Forensic Medicine, Department of Physiology, Department of Pharmacology, Department of Bio-Chemistry, Department of Community Medicine, Department of Microbiology, Department of Pathology-Hematology along with the Central Research Laboratory to meet practical training. The college also has an auditorium for events and seminars, separate hostels for boys and girls, sports facilities, a health center, a gym, and a cafeteria. Its concerns for holistic development are reflected in its excellent IT infrastructure and very active alumni association, making the academic community vibrant.

At present, GCS College of Nursing offers two types of comprehensive courses in nursing: a four-year B.Sc. Nursing and a three-year GNM course. Both courses are regular, full-time, and campus-based. The programs aim to equip students with knowledge and skills in the profession of nursing.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery):
The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program is a three-year diploma course having an intake of 40 seats. GNM admission information was, it can be presumed that this program runs on merit-based admission like the B.Sc. Nursing program. Generally, candidates who completed their 10+2, preferably with science subjects, are eligible to apply for the GNM course.
