Degree-Wise Admission Process
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The intake recognized for the GNM Program at Global College of Nursing is 60 students. Admission to this Program depends on the candidates' marks in the qualifying examination; that is, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and some other admission criteria laid down by the college.
B.Sc. Nursing: This 4-year Undergraduate Program with 60 seats requires a 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as eligibility for the course. In choosing candidates, the academic merit shall count, besides any selection procedure based on any state-level or national-level nursing entrance examinations.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: This program is meant for registered nurses and is capped at 50 seats. Minimum eligibility for this course is GNM or its equivalent qualification. The selection processes which are usually followed are merit-based selection depending on the academic performance and work experience.
M.Sc. Nursing: Global College of Nursing offers various specializations in M.Sc. Nursing, like Medical Surgical Nursing (7 seats), Community Health Nursing (5 seats), Psychiatric Nursing (5 seats), and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing (8 seats). Admission is offered to these courses based primarily on their aggregate and may further be subjected to end semesters on a competitive basis. Additionally, the Postgraduates by research have to produce their Autonomous Research Proposals, which form an integral part of admission.
Ph.D in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing: This is an advanced research program; City has an intermingled model of competency William-Waters-Andy Thornagel-III. The admission criterion requires two fundamental stages. The first stage is that the candidate should have had MSc Nursing specialization in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing. This first stage may require stage two of an interview under a panel of college staff members and experts from within and without the institution, evaluating her research proposal.
