Gomantak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre, Ponda Goa, is a renowned college for Ayurveda education and research study. This affiliated college was set up in 1993 and it is responsible for producing Ayurvedic practitioners for the last 30 years. The institute is spread across a huge land spanning 9.5925 acres and imparts two courses in Ayurveda only. The college has 37 faculty members and 360 students; in this way, the institution has an excellent student-faculty ratio.
The modern built up campus is well endowed with laboratories such as a big dissection hall and discipline wise laboratories for Sharir Kriya/Physiology, Dravyaguna & Panchakarma etc. It is a storehouse of information It consists of more than thousand of text books, reference books, magazines and journals in different specialization to fulfil the requirements of the students, staff and scholars of the university. The college to cater to the needs of its student has provided hostel accommodation for boys and girls respectively. The Gomantak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre, Ponda also has a health centre with first aid facilities with aim of promoting the health of the community. Well equipped classrooms with the facilities and ‘smart’ locker rooms available today make for better learning grounds. Also, the college provides various facilities such as, IT infrastructure, transport facilities, canteen for day to day use by students and staff.
