Infrastructure facilities like library, reading room , auditorium everything is exceptionally well. Sport center is available. Hostels have all the necessary facilities . Living space and food is hygienic.
Curriculum is good but some practical knowledge can be added to it. Too theoretical. Teachers are well educated and teaches well . Commerce is more of practical stream and the syllabus is not much updated .
Quality of placements is fine . Not many companies visit the campus. Highest package is offered to bcom students. Highest package is around 18 lac. Placement process is simple. College supports the students.
It costed 30,000 per year . Money's totally worth it .
The infrastructure was good. Class rooms were good and department buildings were also in very good condition. Canteen area was also great. The playground/ ground are was not quite good as it never maintained.
I’ve done bachelors of business administration from there. It was a great experience. The teachers were very supportive and nice. The institute is famous for its academics as we’ve also witnessed this ourselves.
As we had done graduation only, we weren’t looking for placements. So can’t really describe about the placements. Overall I’ve heard about placements is that they are just average when it comes to placements. Can’t say much.
Our course cost was ₹30000 per year. It was quite economical if compared to other colleges with same status. My whole graduation cost was less than 1 lac, so we can say our 3 years of experiences were worth more than what we paid for.
Campus life was just awesome. We had various clubs to join, events to participate and volunteer in, activities group such as dance, modelling, theatre and sports. Overall the campus life is just awesome.
It had a great infrastructure also was hygenic .we had great library canteen to spend time. Infrastructure was very spacious . We also had a sports ground and a digital library which is equipped with wifi technology and greater advancement . Apart from that we also had a lot of grenery because of maintainence of garden . We had a great facuility which had made our experience a great experience and a memorable experience in this college .also talking about the food in the college ,food was great
I was studying bachelors of business admisteration from the college and what i felt was the quality of teaching was amazing . I liked the facuilty and their cooperation towards children and their commitment towards their work
The placement was not so good . Was not so satisfied with the placements . I guess only a few companies came and only a few placements were made that i guess was not so desirable amount of salary packages
The infrastructure is good but the wifi or network doesn't work so good in the capmus. The fans doesn't work and the lights are not proper. But the campus is clean and quite hygienic. The washrooms are clean.
I studied BBA from this college and didn't had any practical exposure of the course which is a negative thing. No projects are included in the course. The curriculum is very standardized and not up to the date of the needs of the corporate world/industry.
Didn't received any placement opportunity. No profound company comes for the campus recruitment. Moreover , no training sessions or internship programs are offered be the college which is a negative thing.
The course is not worth the money, the way of teaching and exams is not so appreciable. The college is more fun loving and less about the academics.
The cafeteria area of the college is amazing and have really good vibes but the sitting arrangements are not so good. The location of the college is good and quite accessible. The government hospital is also near to the college, if any casualties happen which is a positive point.
Campus infrastructure is really good and modernize. There is proper online system for admission, registration, attendence and for normal college work on TCS. Digital library is also there. And campus buildings are also well maintained.
Sd is college is one of the reputed college in chandigarh as the quality of staff, professors are good. All the staff members are really supportive. And help the student in the overall development which make the student job really.
Quality of placement for both graduation and post graduation are good. Numbers of companies came for placement drive. Many good get good package of placement and generally the process of placement is also simple and easy.
Sd college is one of the top college under the Panjab University, Chandigarh. The fee structure of the BBA is quite reasonable as compare to other private university in the region. And its totally worth it as college number of overall growth opportunities for its students.
The college campus is also good. The canteen area, ground area and auditorium area is well managed. Even the senior batches and teachers are very supportive. Every year there are number of college fest which keep the students engaged.
In all, GGDSD is really a good college with proper teaching staff , proper infrastructue, good growth growth opportunities for the student. It help in overall psrsonality development of the student. And student make numbers of good memories with this place.
The whole college was quite maintained in a good way though the area was not so big. Classes were not equipped with good devices but were large in size. I had a good time and enjoyed a lot. Overall good.
Did bachelors in commerce with economics hons. Curriculum was good, but no initiative by college for practical training to students in their respective fields. All the things to be done by students themselves.
40%. There was no proper information for placements. Students had to go through different departments and meet different persons. There was no coordination in the placement cell for same. Quite dissatisfied.
30000/ year It was worth.
Canteen - best
The college has good infrastructure with clean classrooms. We do not smart boards or wifi as such in the classrooms( never felt the need although )but I believe wifi facilities with laptop charging point etc are available in the library. The classrooms are airy and clean. There are two libraries for different purposes. We have a reading room and a computer lab as well..In fact there are many computer labs.
I studies B.Com eco honors at the college. The quality of teaching is decent. The teachers range from average to very good. The curriculum honestly can be updated. In fact it's the curriculum of the university that needs to be updated upto the recent developments.
The placement process was good. Our's was the first batch that got placed in one of the big 4 accounting firms( Deloitte) including myself. It was the first time the company came on our campus. So kudos to the placement team.Other companies like De shaw and EY also came to our campus for the B.Com batch only.
The course fee was around 30k per year. Yes,I feel I got my money worth because I wasn't not only involved in academics but also extra curricular like the famous Youth fest Punjab University in which we even got first position in the inter zonal which is a big deal. It was definitely possible because of the great faculty they hired for our music and others performances
The campus life is good in the city beautiful with supportive teachers and staff. One can get involved in Youth festivals,ENACTUS SD,be a part of the fashion and modeling club apart from academic. There are various academic lectures all year long as well.Like I remember attending a workshop conducted by SEBI.
The college has clean and tidy classrooms. All the laboratories are air conditioned. Only a few classes have air conditioning. The girls hostels have rigid timings that do not necessarily suot a student's life so i did not stay in one.
Some teachers in the BA put exceptional efforts to make things work for students and some could not care less. The teachers have knowledge of what they're teaching but most learning in theory based. Atleast it was for my subjects, even though one of them was a practical subject.
The college did not provide with placement opportunities for the students of BA and no guidance for future reference either. Only a couple of teachers help out, out of goodness of their hearts. Masters becomes a mandatory requirement to score a job after BA .
The course costed approximately 25,000 per sem, as for the tuition fee. The over head charges add up to make it a round figure of 30-32k per semester. And some of these charges can be seen as unnecessary or more than required or provided for.
The campis has a bustling canteen that mostly everyone hangs out at. The canteen is an open area with 2 café and seating area. A large ground with a mango tree in the middle of it. This groud is a place for soaking sun in the winters for all the students.
College has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities, the new building is very nice. Huge sports ground is there, used for multiple purposes. Wifi facilities are there, but don't work, so you will need your own internet connections.
Very famous faculties teach here, quality of the content is just fine, curriculum is updated timely and adequate help is provided to us by all the faculties. Library is just fine, but it's nice for peaceful reading.
Below average, the package offered is very low. Different branches will sit with you in final placements, so the competition is very high, but you need to be on your toes to get good placement packages.
The fee is low, so it's value for money.
Fine
Overall experience is ok
The College has a proper Infrastructure that adds up to the whole college experience. It is well-maintained too. There is a proper fully A/C auditorium. The different departments are having their own buildings as well.
The College gets recognized with its Teaching facility and no doubt SD College has a good staff who is willing to help at every point. The staff is well maintained and trained as per the updated curriculum.
The placement quality is also good. There are a number of companies who do come for the placement part. The placement cell is growing as compared to the earlier years. There were a lot of people who did get their placements in place.
The College life is good there, besides the college facility the plus point is the access to the city.
