I've completed my B.Tech in this college. Speaking about the college infrastructure everything basic necessities were available like projectors, digital classrooms, Wi-Fi, etc. There is hostel for both boys and girls and cleanliness and security is also highly maintained.
College has necessary infrastructure facilities. Facilities likes Labs and Other Equipment but Most Of the Facilities are available And They Have Also Introduced IOT lab this year. Infrastructure is developed and maintained as well.
College campus is good. College is having pretty good playground, if you're sports enthusiastic, then there are special playground for football, cricket and tennis. WiFi facility is available in each department building. Library is well maintained. Canteen is available in campus and is well hygienic.
Hello student,
The previous year's cutoff for CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds at the Government College of Engineering, Amravati (GCOEA) varied depending on the course and category.
For example, in 2023, the closing ranks for B.Tech in Information Technology ranged from 10303 to 6839 for the GOPENS (General Open) category, while B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering closed at 6839.
Here's a article showing previous year cutoff trends for all courses and category :

Thank you!!
Both KK Wagh Institute of Engineering, Nashik and Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad (GECA) are well-known institutions in Maharashtra, but they differ in key areas. Here's a clear comparison to help you decide:
If you are more inclined toward college reputation, government status, and long-term alumni advantage, then IT at GCOE Aurangabad is the better choice. Being a government institute, it offers lower fees, strong faculty, good peer group, and carries a strong reputation in Maharashtra’s engineering space. Placements for IT are also decent and often overlap with CSE companies.
However, if you’re more focused on Computer Engineering as a core branch, and want a more city-centric location with growing industry links, then KK Wagh Nashik is a solid option. It’s autonomous and has a good setup for tech branches, especially CSE, and sees steady placements in mid-tier IT companies.
For Civil Engineering, GCOE Amravati is slightly better than GCOE Aurangabad in terms of academics, department strength, and alumni network.
However, Aurangabad offers better city exposure. Choose Amravati for academics, Aurangabad for location.
