Government College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh, was started in 1982 as a frontline institution of yoga education with the objective of holistic health. This affiliated college is located at Sector 23 A in Chandigarh and offers specialised programmes in yoga and its related disciplines. The campus is compact, only 2 acres in size, creating an intimate learning environment with just 88 students enroled. The faculty strength is 12 to extend individual care and provide quality education.

Students at the Government College of Yoga Education and Health benefit from numerous facilities that help in the enrichment of their learning process and all-round development. Laboratories are well-equipped to assist practical training in yoga and health sciences. A 75-seater library acts as a knowledge hub with a current stock of 10,739 books, 15 journals, and 7 newspapers. The gym and sports facilities such as indoor games like carrom, chess, and badminton are available for physical fitness. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls are available to make students coming from outside the town comfortable in their stay. In addition to this, there is a canteen looking after the dietary needs of the students and the staff and an auditorium serving as a venue for events and seminars. The college health centre is well equipped with all first-aid facilities to take good care of the health of the community.
