Government Degree College for Women and PG College, Jagtial, is a highly regarded institution meant to empower women through Telangana's education system. The departments here offer various choices at the UG and PG levels, thus meeting the needs of upcoming, eager, and young women with an overload of such programs sponsored by the college.

Application Process

Admissions to the Government Degree College for Women and PG College, Jagtial, follow the procedure as detailed below:

1. Announcement of Admissions: The college informs about admission through its official website and local media.

2. Application Form: Get the information about the college official information. All the candidates are supposed to open the webpage and fill out the application form which further will be available online.

3. Document Submission: Candidates must submit, along with the completed application form, the following:

• Marks and certificates of 10th standard and 12th standard
• Transfer Certificate from the previous institution
• A Caste certificate (wherever applicable)
• At least four recent passport-size photographs

4. Submission of Application Form: Completed application forms together with all the documents must be submitted in the college office within the stipulated period.

5. Merit List Preparation: The college formulates the merit list with the marks earned in the qualifying examination for the program.

6. Publication of Merit List: It is put up on the notice board, and will also be put on the college website.

7. Document Verification: The candidates whose names appear in the list are called for verification of relevant documents at the scheduled date.  The ranking of candidates eligible for admission shall be determined in strict accordance with the provisions of the reservation up to the statutory limit.

8. Fee Payment: The successful candidates should pay the admission fee so as to confirm their seat.

9. Admission Confirmation: Once the fee is paid, the admissions process gets out of the way, and students will be given their ID for the program and other given details.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com: The B.Com course has two tracks, which are B.Com Computer Applications and B.Com Computer Applications Telugu Medium. A degree available for such students can only accommodate a limited number of 60 students. The entrance at UG level exam is by the pre-qualifying exam called 10+2 or its equivalent. 

One needs to score high grades in any of the immediately previous programs she/he is quick to pursue at this college, and she/he must have had his/their Quall during admissions to keep her merit-position on top of that year.

B.Sc: The college provides B.Sc programs in Life Science and Physical Science. Information on the total seat availability for both the B.Sc programs cannot be known, even though there are four courses. Admission for B.Sc programs is considered merit-based, subject to eligibility specialism being one of the aspects considered for candidate selection.

BA: The college offers BA programs with four specializations, including a BA Urdu Medium option. The admission process for BA programs follows a similar merit-based approach, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
