Diploma in Paint Technology is a three-year full-time course offered by Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, Lucknow and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Criteria for the course states that candidate should have passed 10th Std./ SSC examination. Should obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
The admission in this institute is based on the entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. The entrance exam which is accepted is UP Joint Entrance Exam (JEECUP), which is conducted by Technical Education board of the state.
There is no upper age limit for the exam but the candidate's age should at least be 14 years as notified.
Steps to be taken for admission :-
- Firstly, you need to visit the official website of UP polytechnic.
- Then, when the application for UPJEE is released, you can start applying to it.
- The candidate has to fill in all necessary information that is being asked in the application form.
- Choose the center of examination as per your preference.
- Pay the fee amount in either online or offline mode, which suits you.
- Take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it with you.
- The admit card will be released soon by the board.
- Download the admit card and print it.
- Appear for examination at the exam center with all the necessary documents needed.
- The result and cut-off will be released on the official website.
- Register for the counselling by paying the specified fee and filling the required details.
- Choose the preferred colleges in option entry.
- Seats will be allotted depending on the rank scored and cut-off by the candidate.
- Then the candidates can freeze the seats and go for document verification or apply for 2nd round of counselling.

Since the cutoff for any exam depends upon the difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates appeared for the exam and total number of seat available so it is extremely difficult to provide you an exact data but you can consider for any of the government polytechnic exam you have to secure more than 60% marks in order to save your chances.
