Government Post Graduate College Rajouri, was started in 1981 situated in Kheora Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. This affiliated college with its tenacity over 12.04 acres of land has been fulfilling the purpose of providing quality education for more than forty years. Approved by NAAC, the college has the opportunity to provide various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Currently, the institution offers service to students’ enrollment of 3,259 and has 62 staff members as faculty, in order to enhance delivery of good quality services. 9 course options are available across eight degrees in the college to support student learning and career goals.

The college hosts state of the art facilities that seek to complement the learning process in the college. There are two departmental libraries, they are located in P.G. Department of Chemistry and another in the P.G. Department of Computer Science & Applications for M.Sc Chemistry and MCA students respectively. Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology and Geology are also our specialized laboratories In all, the institution has nineteen state-of-the-art laboratories. The college also contains a Language Digital Lab and five other laboratory sections for computer practicals. For the students’ accommodation the college has wishing hostels for boys and girls separately with internet (Wi-Fi) connections that have comfortable accommodation facilities.

Government Post Graduate College Rajouri provides multi faceted education and all type of education programs to fulfill the need. The institution offers 9 programmes with undergraduate and postgraduate classes. Undergraduate students can opt for the following programs such as; Bachelor of Art (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). In addition, for the I and II semester and research scholars, the college offers postgraduate courses like MCA, M.Sc Chemistry, MA Arabic, and MA Urdu. These include full time, regular programs which afford the mastery of different fields of study in detail. While the total student enrolment for all courses is 3,259.

Admission procedure in Government Post Graduate College, Rajouri, also differs according to the course. Undergraduate programmes such as the BA, B.Sc, B.Com and BBA admissions are gained solely on merit only. In its fashions too, the BCA program is similarly structured where the College Admission Committee is responsible for admission and it allows the students on the basis of their marks in 10+2 examination. Regarding post graduate courses like MCA and M.Sc Chemistry admission is done through the University of Jammu Entrance Test known as JUET.
