GS Law College, Auraiya, which came into existence in the year 2012, is one of the famous legal education colleges of Uttar Pradesh, India. This college is a relatively recent institution, and despite the fact it occupies a site of only 0.3 acres of land, it is one of the region’s major colleges specialising in legal education. Recognised by the Bar Council of India, GS Law College includes various programmes in law for those willing to become legal practitioners. The college, positioned with a total average student enrolment of 501 and a faculty ratio of 8:1, is maintained to have a concentrated learning experience.

The library performs the function of the essential source of legal materials, which may be necessary for the students. As a way of practical lessons, the college has set up a departmental-based laboratory to enable students to practice what they are learning. Also, to ensure that a student gets an all-rounded education, GS Law College provides for sports amenities and courts for students to ensure that they exercise and keep fit while studying. In the same way, the college focuses on the provision of good IT facilities with the view that the student should be in touch and in possession of modern facilities and technology that I’m requisite in the current world in order to cope with current legal education.

GS Law College, Auraiya, is one of the most prestigious law colleges in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college, which is recognized by the Bar Council of India, provides a wide array of law programs for those interested in becoming legal practitioners.  The admission to the law institute of GS Law College is conducted under an evaluation to identify suitable and deserving candidates into various law degrees it offers to the students.

For any of the undergrad courses, viz, LLB, BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B. Com LLB, the necessary requirement is of having 10+2 at minimum with aggregate of 45%. This would ensure academic foundation in pursuing further studies towards the legal platform.

For LLM and similar postgraduate programs, the eligibility for admission is an LLB, BA LLB, B.Com LLB, or BBA LLB graduate degree.
The M. Phil Law programme requires the candidates to have graduated with an LLM degree as it is more advanced than the previous degrees.

Application Process

According to general procedures used in Indian law colleges, some of the usual steps followed could be as listed below for the application process to GS Law College:

1. Obtaining the application form: The form can be accessed from the website of GS Law College (http://gslaw.org.in/) for downloading or in the college office.

2. Fill up the application form: Carefully fill in all the required fields in the application form with accurate information.

3. Collect required documents: Prepare a set of documents including:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate for LLM and M.Phil applicants
  • Postgraduation mark sheets and degree certificate for M.Phil applicants
  • Valid ID proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs

4. Submit the application: Submit the completed application form along with all required documents to the college admission office. This may be done in person or through post, according to the guidelines of the college.

5. Payment of application fee: Pay the requisite application fee. Confirm the method of payment, such as cash, demand draft, or online transfer, from the college.

6. Entrance test or interview: Some programmes may require appearing for an entrance test or interview for selection.

7. Merit list: The college will probably declare a merit list of selected students according to the performance in the academics and results of entrance test/interview if applicable.

Degree wise Admission Process

LLB: GS Law College offers 3 year LLB program with an intake of 300 students. The candidate must have passed out in 10+2 with a minimum score of 45%.

BA LLB: This is a 5 year integrated program that combines Bachelor of Arts with Bachelor of Laws. The completion of 10+2 with a minimum score of 45% qualifies the individual.

BBA LLB: Second 5 years integrated, with the integration of BBAs and LLB. One needs to have 10+2 with a minimum score of 45%.

B.Com LLB: Five years integrated, majorly after combining Bcom and LLB. One has to complete a graduation with 10+2 by scoring at least 45%.

LLM: The Master of Laws program is offered to the graduates who have passed their LLB, BA LLB, B.Com LLB, or BBA LLB degree.

M.Phil Law: This advanced research program is offered to the candidates who have completed their postgraduation with an LLM degree.
