Dear student,

Height of tap from ground = 5 m, let's assume g = 10m/s^2 for ease calculation.

Now, time taken by first drop to fall to ground :-
5 = ut + 1/2 gt^2

5 = 0 + 1/2 10 t^2 (because u=0)

Therefore t = 1 sec, i.e, first drop takes 1 second to reach the ground.

Now, water drops are falling at regular intervals.
So, as fourth drop immediately when the first drop reaches ground, so for each drop the time interval will be of 1/3 seconds.

Now, when the first drop falls on ground the second drop travels for 2/3 seconds.

So, the distance traveled by the second from the tap :-

s = ut + 1/2 gt^2
s = 1/2 10 (2/3)^2 = 20/9 m

So, distance of second drop from the ground = 5 - 20/9 = 25/9 =2.778m

Hi, can you please clarify the question further? There appears to be a conufsion from my end regarding how a ball can hit the shot. Assuming you mean the ball is hit for a shot in 25 seconds, and each shot implies 50 points ( please clarify how may points would be get if we hit the shot). The, in 4 hours, we would have 4*60*60 seconds. To find out the number of shots, simply divide this number by 25, and then to get the score, multiply it by 50.

This is just a working mechanism. Once you clarify the question, I would be able to assist you further!

Hi Naresh,

See, at this time that is full of uncertainities, I or even anyone can't tell anything regarding this. I am also not sure about will the second wave of Coronavirus hit India. If you are looking for a time then December 2020 will be time when the second wave of COVID-19 can hit India.

Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!

Heritage institute of technology is a private engineering college in kolkata.it is affiliated by Maulana Abdul  Kalam Azad University of technology .

It was established in year 2001 and it's director is Dulal Chandra Roy .

Campus area is about 70 acres.

According to ranking given by NIRF  in 2018 ( NATIONAL INSTITUTE RANKING FRAMEWORK ) it is ranked in between 101-150 among engineering institute in India.wheras IEM is ranked on 25 given by NIRF.

both of them are approved by UGC.

IEM fee structure is around 5 lakhs whereas heriatge's fees is around 6 lakh.

So by considering the NIRF ranking IEM is better than HIT.

Hope it helped. Thank you.

Best of luck.

Hello,

Actually in the basis of your WBJEE rank IEM os better than HIT and it comes after JU and shibpur BE college.  But when it comes to placement then both of it have a same set of mass.

But if you want to a better happening college life then I would say you must go for heritage as it has a speawling campus and good infrastructure which IEM don't have being in the middle of a corporate city.

Hope for the best.

Thank you.

Dear Simran,
The number of monohalogenation products obtained from any alkane depends upon the number of different types of hydrogen it contains.
Compound containing one type of hydrogen gives only one monohalogen product.

neopentane has only one type of hydrogen.

I hope you understand this answer

All the best

Hey aspirant ,

See since there is no vertical initial component of velocity and only the acceleration due to gravity is present. You should be using the formula S=ut + (1/2) at^2 and putting the vaue of S= 0.98 and a= 9.8.

Hope you got the point.

Since the bullets are fired horizontally from the same place, they have the same height.

The formula for Time is

t= (2H/g)^1/2.

since the acceleration (g) is also same for both the bullets they will reach the ground at the same time.

Thus, the time taken to reach the ground is independent of the initial horizontal speed of the bullets. Hence, both the bullets fired simultaneously in the horizontal direction from the same height will reach the ground simultaneously.

The vertical component must be

VA cos 53 = VB cos 37

Solving this VA = 60 cot 37

= 60/tan 37

=60*4/3 = 80 units.

This is the final answer. Thank you.
