Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital located in Abohar Punjab was established in 1975 is one of the biggest institutions in the field of homeopathic education in India. Situated in technical Hanumangarh Road close to the BSF Camp, it is one of the Affiliated Colleges which is recognized by the Central Council of Homeopathy CCH. It occupies a campus area of 20 acres and has only one course to provide, the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS course). The college currently has 147 students with 34 faculty members thus ensuring that the college has a convenient student-teacher ratio. This can be seen in the fact that the institution has dedicated its energies towards the provision of a specific area of niche study in other forms of healing.

This college provides numerous amenities intended for improving educational process and improving students’ quality of life. The hostels are provided separately for boys and girls and include facility for carrying out activities, TV/lounging area, reading space and meals. The homeopathic college library was noted to be one of the largest in existence and stocked with more than seven thousand books; the library in question is fully air conditioned : the resources in the college library include old homeopathic texts.
