48 MonthsBachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by AICTE and offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
Mechanical engineers are involved with the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, control, operation, and maintenance of, any system that has a moving part. It deals with all aspects of the conversion of thermal energy into useful work and the machines that make this possible. If you are intrigued by how things work, fascinated by robots and automobile engines, then mechanical engineering may be the profession for you.
The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2004 with an initial intake of 60 students and further a section with 60 students is added in the year 2013. The department is also offering M.Tech program in CAD/CAM with an intake of 18 students since 2011.
Eligibility Criteria
- The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B.Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.
- Lateral Entry - Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
Admission Details
Admissions to the Institute are made along with the other engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test conducted by the Govt. of Telangana.
- 70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Telangana.
- 30% of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.

The college with good infrastructure, library contains min of 1500 book (Indian and other authors) mechanical laboratory's are good enough,hygienic, WiFi is only for laboratorys , College uses LED screen for lectures in classrooms
