The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition Gwalior, otherwise known as IHM Gwalior, was set up in the year 1987. This affiliated college is situated at Maharajpura, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and this college offers education in the hospitality stream. As it has a strength of 15 teaching members, IHM Gwalior conducts three different courses in operation within the field of hospitality and hotel administration. It is for this reason that the institute has espoused the cause of quality education in hospitality management, particularly hotel management and catering technology. Through performance on the national-level tests, including JEE Main and NCHM JEE scores, IHM Gwalior makes admission highly selective for the students.
Numerous facilities are available at the Institute of Hotel Management Gwalior that could snowball into exciting learning for students. This institute consists of a centralised and air-conditioned computer lab for students with a total of 42 advanced computers along with licensed software to fulfil the IT-skilled students. Thousands of books and journals as well as audio-visual equipment are available in the elaborated library to support all faculties and classes of students. This facility consists of the college’s auditorium, which has accommodation for 300 persons and plays host to various college academic and cultural activities. IHM Gwalior has the facility of boys' and girls' hostels, both separate, having total number of beds 192 for boys and 100 for girls They have independent dining halls and recreation services. The campus also has areas for sports, for both indoor and outdoor games, to make sure that the students are not only book wise but game wise as well.
The Institute of Hotel Management presently has a total of three full-time courses of hospitality education and training for various levels. Such programmes are a bachelor's degree, a diploma programme and a master's degree. The B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is the flagship programme, and a 300-student capacity has been established. The Diploma in Food Production annual intake is 80 students, while the M.Sc in Hospitality and Administration has 32 seats. Altogether, IHM Gwalior has the ability to take 412 students through its number of programmes that it offers to the students for building up a career in the hospitality industry.
Thus, the admission in IHM Gwalior depends on entrance tests, more often than not. For the course of B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration, there are direct admissions through JEE Main and NCHM JEE. These national-level exams make sure that the institute affirms talented students round the nation. i am sorry to inform you that admission cannot be taken in that way. If you want to take admission there you have to take it in first semester directly. Then admission to the particular course is based either on the Common Entrance Test (CET) mechanism or the merit-based criteria adopted by certain colleges/universities. The top colleges usually select students based on entrance tests.
