Jagriti Teachers Training College, Deodhar Admission Process

Deodhar of Jagriti Teachers Training College. It is an affiliated college located in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Jagriti Teachers Training College is one of the institutes that got its recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and posits a post-graduate education programs. The selection of candidates into Jagriti Teachers Training College will be through the admission process. This process will consider the qualifications of prospective individuals into teacher training programs at the college in its two full-time courses, namely the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

The admissions into B.Ed are merit-based and depend upon the entrance test of Himachal Pradesh University. Application Process:

In general, the application process for Jagriti Teachers Training College varies from one program to another:

For the B.Ed Program:

  1. Candidates are required to appear for the entrance test conducted by Himachal Pradesh University.
  2. Obtain the minimum required marks in the entrance test (35% for general category, 30% for SC/ST).
  3. Preparation of the merit list will be based on the marks obtained through the entrance test.
  4. Candidates who are shortlisted will have to go through the process of application to be completed following the directions laid down by the college.
  5. Submission of pertinent documents, including educational certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and other required papers.
  6. Payment of the requisite application fee.
  7. Attend counseling sessions if called for by the college.

D.El.Ed Program:

  1. Obtain the application form from the college site or download it from the official website.
  2. Fill the application form out with all relevant details.
  3. Affix all necessary papers like mark sheets of qualifying examination, certificates, and other required papers.
  4. Send the entire application form along with the required fee to the college before the last date.
  5. If there is an entrance examination, he/she must write it on the set date. 
  6. Create the merit list according to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance exam scores.

Such students may be required to report for the verification of documents and formalities for admission purposes. Required documents for both programs generally include but are not limited to:

  • Passport size photographs
  • Mark sheets and certificates of class 10 and class 1
  • Graduation degree certificate and mark sheets (for B.Ed applicants)
  • Entrance exam score card (for B.Ed applicants)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Character certificate from the last school or institution attended
  • Other documents as prescribed by the college or state education department.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) - The approved intake for the B.Ed program in Jagriti Teachers Training College is 100 students. Admission into this program is purely and strictly based on merit in the entrance test conducted by Himachal Pradesh University. The minimum eligibility eligibility requirements are for 35% marks in the entrance test for general category. SC/ST candidates must earn a minimum of 30% marks in the entrance test.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The intake capacity of the D.El.Ed program is 50 students. The admission process for this course is based on merit, that is, calculated on the basis of qualifying examination and/or entrance examination marks. The college may also use any other selection process as per the policy of the state government or UT administration. This flexible approach allows for a comprehensive evaluation of candidates' eligibility and suitability for the program.
