B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
K. Narayana Memorial College of Education offers a full-timed course of B.Ed. for a period of two years, which prepares students to become teachers for secondary schools. With an authorized intake of 100 seats, K. Narayana College has a merit-based admission policy to its B.Ed. course, evaluating marks obtained in qualifying examinations and sometimes performance in entrance examinations. The curriculum of the B.Ed. course follows the policy laid down by the state government/UT Administration and the affiliated university. A candidate has to hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university to qualify for applying.
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The duration for the D.El.Ed. program is two years full-time, training teachers for Primary and Upper Primary Schools. This college has an approved intake of 50 seats for this program. Admissions to D.El.Ed. are also through merit considering the marks scored in the qualifying examination (usually 10+2) and/or performance in the entrance test. The selection follows the state's policy in conjunction with the UT Administration. The program is open to candidates who have successfully completed their 10+2 or equivalent examinations.
