Admissions for the B.Ed course are based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, entrance test, or any other admission procedure prescribed by the State Government and the affiliated University, potentially guaranteeing entry for candidates with the best-recorded academic background and an adequate degree of aptitude for teaching.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed program also spans two years of full-time training and accommodates 50 intakes. Admission into the D.El.Ed program is dependent on the marks of the qualifying examination taken by them (10+2 or equivalent). For this program, the admission policy set by the West Bengal state government is followed. Through the selection processes, candidates are guided based on a strong base of basic education, giving weightage to the position one-day teaching, especially at the elementary level.
