Karaikal Polytechnic College to be the second-oldest polytechnic institution functioning in the union territory of Puducherry. Situated in Varichikudy, Kottucherry, the AICTE-approved institute admits students to diploma courses in various engineering specializations. To avail of admission, candidates must have passed their 10 and 2 levels from an authorized board. • Community Certificate (If applicable)

3. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering,

4. Diploma in Computer Engineering,

• Total Intakes = 60 seats,
• Admission Procedure: Merit-based. 

5. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering,

• Total Intakes = 90 seats,
• Admission Procedure: Merit-based.

6. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,

• Total Intakes = 120 seats,
• Admission Procedure: Merit-based.

For the above course, the academic performance of the candidate in the previous qualification of 10+2 class is on the merit basis for further consideration.
