Bachelors of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering Degree Course offered by KCG College of Technology, Chennai affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The course is accredited by AICTE and the course covers, Aerodynamics, Aerospace Propulsion, Aerospace Structure, Aircraft Design, Aircraft maintenance, Air transportation, Avionics, and Project work. The department initially had an intake of 60 students which has subsequently increased to students per batch starting 2012. The department has organized various workshops, seminars, guest lectures and symposiums from time to time. Many of the students and staff are members of the Aeronautical Society of India.


Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should have passed in 10+2 science stream The candidate should have passed in 10+2 science stream and For candidates belonging to Other Communities (OC) of Tamil Nadu State: a minimum avA. (10+2)/ HSC (Academic) or Equivalent

For candidates belonging to

  • Other Communities (OC) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 50% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • Backward class Community (BC) and BC (Muslims) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • Most Backward class Community (MBC) & DNC of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • SCA/SC/ST community of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

B. HSC (Vocational) :

    For candidates belonging to

  • Other Communities (OC) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 50% in the related subjects and Vocational subjects (theory and practical’s) put together
  • Backward class Community (BC) and BC (Muslims) of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 45% in the related subjects and Vocational subjects (theory and practical’s) put together.
  • Most Backward class Community (MBC) & DNC of Tamil Nadu State: A pass with a minimum average of 40% in the related subjects and Vocational subjects (theory and practical’s) put together.

Admission Details

  • As per the norms of the Anna University / Tamil Nadu State Government (Based on the +2 marks) and TNEA Counselling.
  • All eligible candidates who have applied will be grouped into rounds as per the merit list. Counselling is held round wise therefore each group will have one round of counselling. SMS and email alerts will be sent to the applicants via their registered ids and mobile numbers during each stage of counselling.
