This college is affiliated to the NCTE and offers undergraduate courses namely Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and Bachelor of Physical Education. With 190 students in the institution and faculty strength of 5, working environment is still focused towards churning the pile of aspiring physical education professionals. 

Facilitating the academic and physical development of the students are its various amenities. Its library is well stocked with more than 3,000 books, which comprises 2,371 textbooks and 737 reference books and subscriptions to 11 journals and 4 newspapers. It has departmental laboratories, an auditorium for conducting events and seminars, and a canteen for the staff and students. These sports facilities serve to characterise many good facilities, and the traditionally well-organised gym shall be available for all sports enthusiasts. The college also has IT infrastructure to assist the learning process. First-aid facilities are available at the campus for health and safety. There is also a guest house to accommodate the visiting faculty and family members of students.

KD Pawar College of Physical Education offers two undergraduate physical education programmes. The B.P.Ed. course is a full-time 2-year programme with an intake of 100 students, while the B.P.E. is a full-time 3-year programme with an intake of 30 students. Both programmes provide extensive training in physical education and can be implemented for a career in teaching, coaching, or sports management. 

The admission procedure followed by KD Pawar College of Physical Education is aimed at sorting students with a clear inclination towards the physical education course. In these B.P.Ed courses, selection depends on the performance of a candidate at the aggregate level in sports and a physical efficiency test done by the Sports and Youth Services Government of Maharashtra and R.T.M Nagpur University, Nagpur.
