Krishnasree College of Education for Women, Namakkal, was started in the year 2008, situated at Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu exclusively for the education of women. This affiliated college NCTE recognised college is designated for teacher training programmes. Located in a 6 acre land, the college currently has a student population of 196, and the mean age of the college’s students is 22 years old and all of the students are female, proving its stance for women education. The institute has sixteen members in its faculty, thus giving it a niche look for any intending faculty or teacher education.

There are a lot of resources available in the college that physically complement the academic learning of the students. A well stocked library has more than 6505 text and reference books of 2955 titles, 15 journals, 15 magazines to cater the need of student’s academic activities. Facilities of the campus consist of up to date facilities such as Computer Laboratory that has over 50 internet enabled computers, a Biological Science Lab, Physical Science Lab, Computer Science Lab, Language and Psychology Lab among others. For the comfort of students, the college owns over 200 buses and vans to and fro from different districts of Namakkal, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Trichy, Karur, Dindigul, and Tirupur. A modern hostel with all facilities available for out-station students adds to the security of the campus living common in other schools.

Krishnasree College of Education for Women currently offers one primary course: the degree programme in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This full-term course is a two year course with an approved intake capacity of one hundred seats per batch. The B.Ed programme aims at nurturing students for teaching profession and provides the informational, pedagogical and professional preparation required for that profession.

The college follow the admission policy of the state government and the university it is affiliated to, which is a merit list for the admission of the students in Krishnasree College of Education for Women. The criteria for admission are therefore the performance in the qualifying or entrance test.
