Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering, Vizianagaram recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

As per guidelines of the State Government, in all B.Tech. admissions, 70% is the Convener quota and 30% is the Management Quota.

Convenor Quota

B.Tech Admissions (Regular) - Rank in EAMCET or State Level Entrance Test conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.

B.Tech Admissions (Lateral Entry) - Rank in ECET or State Level Entrance Test (Direct admission to Second year) conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Management Quota - As per the guidelines of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), an advertisement shall be released in the newspapers by specifying the courses and the number of seats under management quota. All the applications received shall be scrutinized and shortlisted. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of merit basing on the criteria of ranking at the state/central level competitive examinations like EAMCET/AIEEE or percentage of marks obtained at qualifying examination level subject to a minimum of 50 % of marks.

College Infrastructure

The campus is clean and green with good facilities like Wi-Fi, central library, workshops, and separate hostels for boys and girls. New smart classrooms and labs are being developed. However, some buildings need renovation and better maintenance.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is very eco-friendly with a lot of greenery on the campus. The college has both boys' and girls' hostels. Girls' hostel is located inside the campus, and boys hostel is located beside the college itself. There is hygiene and a clean environment on the college campus and hostel.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is very well-equipped with Wi-Fi, computer labs, greenery, and a library that has a wide range of collections of books and novels that are helpful for the students. Hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys, and the surroundings are clean and tidy in both the hostel and the college.
