Maitreyi Degree College for Women, Hyderabad was started in the year 1994,mysql is one of the most reputed and dedicated institution for women’s higher education located in the centre of Telangana. Situated at Asif Nagar Road, this affiliated college occupies a very small area of one acre, thus providing concentration. At present the college has 313 students and faculty of 13: this keeps the college intimately educational. Currently, Maitreyi has three full time undergraduate programs offering two degree streams namely Microbiology & Chemistry, B.Com with Computer Applications and Nutrition courses pertaining various branches of the young women’s choice.

The college has put up several installations aimed at improving the learning atmosphere for its students. A good library is an effective source of information, and modern laboratories meet applied practical elements, especially in the sciences. Academic community is vibrant through provision of an auditorium for occasions such as event or seminars on the campus. Sport amenities foster favourable health, combining academic pressures. The college also supplied the technological aspect with good IT facilities with smart classrooms to meet the technological needs of the students. A health center with first aid facilities is importance for the welfare of the students as well as giving a Cafeteria that serves as the place where the students get refreshment and relating to other fellow students.

Maitreyi Degree College for Women strictly admits limited number of courses for undergraduate level and all of those are based on the full time program. These include B.Sc in Microbiology and Chemistry, B.Com in Computers and B.Sc in Nutrition. All the programs take a duration of three years and aims at offering broad and profound understanding as well as vocational competency within their specialized areas.
