The Mangalore College of Nursing, Mangaluru, was started in the year 1998 and is one of the leading B. eds in nursing education in Karnataka state of India. This affiliated college is situated near St. Sebastian Church in Ullal, Mangalore and aims at providing aspiring nurses various programmes in nursing. The college occupies 0.1 acre of land and the college effectively ensures it provides conducive environment to its 83 students and 15 qualified teaching staffs. Currently, the institute offers three full time programmes offered at two levels of degree with an emphasis on the core nursing competency to meet the corresponding need of qualified nursing workforce worldwide.

Mangalore College of Nursing has numerous amenities that have been put in place to help boost learning and in the process, the student. A good library is an informational resource centre containing a collection of nursing literature and research resources needed by the students. The institution provides facility to department-based laboratories, necessary for practice as well as enhance the clinical skills in nursing. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: It is a four-year undergraduate program, where the admitted intake is 60 students. To be eligible, a candidate should have completed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Admission is by merit of entrance exam score and academic performance.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This is a two-year program designed for registered nurses and midwives to upgrade their skills and knowledge. The college has an approved intake of 30 students for this course. Applicants must be registered nurses with a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and have relevant work experience.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): A three-year diploma course which has an approved intake of 50. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with science subjects would be eligible to apply. Admission may be through an entrance test and consideration given to academic performance.
