Being an affiliated college for women, established in 2010, Mata Sundri Girls College is a college located in Bathinda, Punjab. The institution is a campus based school established on 12 acres and it offer fifteen courses under nine degree programmes. Combined with a total student intake of 255 and 48 faculty members, the college assures optimum enrolment along with the opportunity for young women to learn in focused settings. Affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Mata Sundri Girls College provides major specialisations in Arts, Commerce, Computer Applications Sciences and Education.

Mata Sundri Girls College has numerous infrastructure that improves student’s learning process, as well as their overall development. The library of the institution contains more than 32 000 books on different subjects that can be useful for researches and students’ work. This campus has current IT facilities to give the learners means of studying current technology to be used in their projects. But for physical health, there are sports and a gym for students who wish to join at the college. It is used as a hall for occasion, seminars, conferences among other activities hence creating an active student life within the compound. Other facilities include practical rooms where students conduct their experiments, a food homework where lots of meals are sold at reasonable prices, and a health centre for diseases. Another essential service offered is transports while the college also avails internet services in learning areas. 

Mata Sundri Girls College comprises of full time courses in various disciplines that a student may require. The college offers 15 courses, these are under both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level. These include well known three years degree of BA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc in all distinct fields and other three years professional course of B.Ed. It also provides postgraduate courses such as MA in Punjabi, English, and Political Science and PGDCA. The institution has an approved student intake of 780 students across all courses offered to meet the spirit of admitting many aspiring female students each year.

The admission policy of Mata Sundri Girls College is merit based and as per rules of the State Government/ UT administration and the University from which the college is affiliated. In most programmes, the admissions are offered based the grade attained in the entry qualification examination. But in cases of professional courses such as B.Ed, the college may also taken into consideration the score of the entrance examination or may follow any of the process as deemed suitable by the existing norms. The B.Ed programme has a separate admission process, which is based on merit scores of the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.
