About Matru College of Nursing, Bengaluru

Matru College of Nursing, Bengaluru, was started in the year 2004 focusing on providing nursing care education. Situated in Srigandhada Kaval, Sunkadakatte, Bangalore this is a co-educational college affiliated to the university and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Of the three programmes of full-time nursing, Matru College of Nursing has B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing affiliated with Panjab University and GNM affiliated with IGNOU on a 1 acre campus. The total student enrolment 216 of students and the faculty of 23 hence, promoting a good student-teacher ratio which in turn allows our students to get a closer look at our qualified staff so that they can get quality education.

Matru College of Nursing has various installations that are geared towards improving the delivery of the education to the students. For information needs, a library is well equipped to provide the best reading commodities, new books, national and international journals and internet. The college is equipped with well equipped nursing practical labs for different nursing courses they are Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Fundamentals of Nursing Lab, Maternity Lab, Child Health Lab and Community Health Lab. Also, there’s a Computer Lab to facilitate practical computer exercises and an Audio-Visual aids section to help with developing lots of practical skills. For the needs of those pursuing studies, the college features separate house facilities for boys and girls with proper ventilation, round the clock water supply, recreational facilities, and library rooms. The campus provides a canteen/dining hall and facilities for games and sports in addition to an Emergency Treatment Centre.

Matru College of Nursing has intended to provide complete courses for nursing education based on the requirements of the candidate. The three full-time courses of four year duration are B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc.Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery are intended to prepare potential candidates for nursing profession.
