Maulana Azad institute of Humanities Science and Technology, Sitapur Admission

The MAulana Azad Institute of Humanities Science and Technology (MAIHST) in Sitapur is an affiliated college running humanities and other sciences, education, and technology programs. The admitted candidates for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs are selected by merit and through a transparent process. The admission process at MAIHST generally follows the academic sessions of its parent university and the policies of the state government.

For most programs, the basic eligibility is having completed 10+2 from a recognized board in the relevant stream. For professional courses like B.Ed, B.P.Ed, and M.Ed additional criteria may apply according to the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and of the state government.

The institute conducts admissions on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examinations by the respective programs and as per the policies laid by the State Government and the affiliated University. For some courses, any other selection processes to evaluate candidates' attainment of fitness for the program at stake may be applied.

Application Process

Every institute generally follows the subsequent procedure for admission into its program at MAIHST:

1. Announcement of Admissions: On its website and other media platforms, the institute announces the opening of admissions.

2. Application Form: The applicant fills out the application. The application may be available online on the institute's website or in physical form at the campus.

3. Document Submission: The applicant submits along with the completed application form some of the essential documents. These are normally:

  • Valid ID proof
  • Recent passport size photographs
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other documents as prescribed by the institute

4. Entrance Examination: For programs such as B.Ed, B.P.Ed, and M.Ed programs, the candidates may have to appear for entrance examinations as decided by the state government or the affiliated university.

5. Merit List Preparation: The merit list of eligible candidates will then be prepared by the institute based on the qualifying examination scores and/or the entrance exam scores.

6. Counselling and Seat Allotment: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a counselling session, wherein seats will be allotted on the basis of merit and availability.

7. Fee Payment: Selected candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees within the stipulated period to confirm their admission in the program.

8. Document Verification: Admission will be finalized after verification of documents submitted by the candidates at the institute.

Degree-wise Admission process

M.Ed-M. Ed offers 25 seats for admission, primarily based on the merit of the qualifying examination (B.Ed) and/or the entrance examination based on state and university government policy.

BA-MAIHST is offering BA with 360 seats. Specifics on the admission are not mentioned, but presumably merit from the 10+2 qualifying examination in the relevant stream shall be considered.

B.Sc-With 240 seats in the B.Sc program, admission is mostly based on the merit of the 10+2 qualifying examination with science subjects.

BBA, BCA, and B.Com tack on more programs offered at MAIHST. Entrance is likely through merit via the 10+2 examination in the relevant stream.

Additional examination measures should be taken for those applying for B.P.Ed:
