MIET Arts and Science College, Tiruchirappalli, as an affiliated college and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Degree wise Admission Procedure

The two most preferred undergraduate programs for which admission is granted for 180 seats, are B.Com and B.Com Computer Applications. The selection of candidates is made based on the performance in the 10+2 examination with special reference to commerce and mathematics subjects.

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The course with an intake of 110 students focuses on the 10+2 results in mathematics and computer science subjects.

B.Sc Computer Science: This course has 100 seats and admission is based on 10+2 results mainly focusing on mathematics and science subjects.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The program consists of 60 seats for admission based upon the 10+2 results of a candidate with a focus on business studies.

BA English: This particular program, with 60 seats, admits candidates based on 10+2 results that place particular emphasis on the English language.

B.Sc Biochemistry and B.Sc Physics: Each of these two programs has 40 seats available for admission based on the 10+2 results with emphasis in Biochemistry on science subjects, especially biology and chemistry, and in Physics on physics and mathematics.

MCA (Master of Computer Application): For the proposed admission to the 60 seats in this postgraduate program, it is most likely to be through an undergraduate degree in a relevant field with possible entrance test-interview.

M.A. English: For this postgraduate study, 60 students on the program are preferred, who have a degree in English or related studies.

M.Com: For this postgraduate Commerce program, 30 seats will be allotted and will accept students based on prior undergraduate study in Commerce or any relevant area.

M.Sc Computer Science and M.Sc Biochemistry: The two postgraduate programs are admitting 30 and 40 students respectively, with admissions based on relevant undergraduate degrees and probably an entrance test or interview.

Ph.D Commerce: The doctoral program is offering 30 seats. For admission, it appears that the applicant will have to possess at least an MA or an equivalent postgraduate degree in the field of Commerce; research proposal and merit in entrance test and interview can also be factors of admission.
