Modern Arts and Science College at Jayankondam came into existence in 2004 and is an affiliated college located in Tamil Nadu – India. This institutes lies along virudhachalam main road, Palkalai nagar, Mahimaipuram it has been imparting education among the young ones for over one and half decade. The college is spread across a total area of 3483 sq m which is excluding the play area and has an intake capacity of 586 learners spread across 9 programmes and 19 courses. The college has recruited a faculty of 45 members who are committed and extremely talented and dedicated to their profession and the students. Infact, the college has kept an efficient student’s faculty ratio that means each student will get attention and quality education.
The college owns facilities that supplement learning process and development of the students as a whole. The Central Library is the core of academic resources and comprises of a 300 square meter knowledge triangle working for the betterment of the students by providing the knowledge regarding scientific and allied fields of medical and allied health sciences which includes more than 10000 books. The library also has Indian and foreign magazines and journals of high repute in order to make its student updated with recent researches and paper publications. In terms of practical training, the college provides modern laboratories especially in the Department of Postgraduate studies in Physics and that of Undergraduate studies in Chemistry where two postgraduate laboratories and one undergraduate laboratory are available complete with modern equipment’s and instruments.
Modern Arts and Science College provides wide opportunities and has 19 full-time programmes in different fields of learning. The college offers both bachelors and post graduates, M.Phil programs and diploma courses for its students. Some of the undergraduate courses include the following; BA English Literature, B.Com, BCA, B.sc Information Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.
