The candidate seeking admission to the B.sc.(MLT) Degree course must have passed H.S.C. (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 50% marks (40% of marks for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST candidates) in Part-3 subjects to physics, chemistry and Biology/Botany and zoology ot physics, foundation science  and medical laboratory assistance cours and should have studied english as one of the subjects. vocational and open school not eligible.
