Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences (MGPGI), Pondicherry admission procedure is strict and merit-based for its dental courses, this government-associated institute is accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and provides both Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses.
For under graduation, MGPGI Pondicherry enrolls candidates according to the merit they get through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical and dental courses. Application for NEET normally takes place from the initial part of February till early March. Applicants are required to fulfill 10+2 schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as primary subjects in order to get accepted in the BDS programme.
