Murshidabad College of Engineering and Technology is a self-financed institute situated in Berhampore of West Bengal and was established in 1998. Many engineering courses are offered at this affiliated college which is approved by the All India Council for Technical and Education(AICTE). MCET is a 10.67 acres campus in an area of five hundred and fifty seven students and thirty two staffs. The institute offers four B.Tech programmes each specialised in a particular stream of engineering.

The campus of Murshidabad College of Engineering and Technology has gender specific accommodations equipped with the free internet, 24/7 Ambulance, and 24/7 guards and security. In addition, annual health check-up camps are also included for students and facilities with a clinic with a professional health practitioner.  Students have a good opportunity to attend a professional gymnasium with trainers. Since the library houses over 11,000 books, it is a technical reference source, as are the technical journals it contains and the over 11,000 e-journal subscriptions. About one hundred computers connected to the Internet are the components of IT for learning, and sports lovers can engage in indoor games such as chessboard and carrom. At present, there is a cafeteria that sells clean foods throughout the day. The institution has broadband internet and 2 Megabits per second and there is complete Wi-Fi in the campus.

MCET offers four full-time B.Tech programmes, each for four years. These include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
