Muthoot College of Nursing, Pathanamthitta, which commenced in 2007 is an advanced college in the field of nursing in Kerala, India. Located on a plot of 4 acres, this affiliated college has been preparing the course of healthcare specialists for over a decade. Accredited to the Indian Nursing Council, the institution renders various course in nursing such as the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Muthoot College of Nursing was established in the year 2007 with a student enrolment of 220 and 22 faculties which directly give them a focused learning atmosphere. The college provides 5 courses at two levels of degree in aspects of nursing care and medical sciences.

Although the college offers 5 full-time courses, it offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree level programmes at the same. The college offers 4 year B.Sc Nursing with 60 student intake and 2 years Post Basic B.Sc nursing with 30 students intake at the undergraduate level. For those interested specialisations, the college offers three Master of Science in Nursing programmes that takes 2 years to complete each with 4 seats to each programme. These are M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing, M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing, and M.Sc Paediatric Nursing.

The Muthoot College of Nursing admission procedure for the course is based on a merit list prepared from the marks scored in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination (10+2), as per the directives by the Kerala Nursing and Midwives Council and the Government of Kerala.
  • Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This is a 2-year course for registered nurses who qualify for upgrading their qualifications. The course has an approved annual intake of 30. Admission to the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course is strictly on merit; candidates who qualify for admission into this programme must possess a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course certificate.
