NES Science College Nanded Scholarship

Nanded Education Society’s Science College, Nanded has a Student’s Welfare and Aid Committee which acts as an interface between the teachers and the economically backwards students. The Committee meets on a monthly basis at Nanded Education Society’s Science College, Nanded, to discuss the problems and the possible ways of improvement in the standards with respect to the facilities and try to solve the economic problems of economically backwards students.

Every year, Nanded Education Society’s Science College, Nanded invites applications from the students who belong to economically weaker sections. The students are then interviewed by the Committee for financial help. The Student’s Welfare and Aid Committee has also implemented the Earn and Learn Scheme for the students under which students are allowed to give Rs. 100 per hour. The students' welfare funds are raised by deduction of Rs. 25 per month from the salary of every staff member. The financial help is given to the students to purchase uniforms, record books and stationery. The students are selected for the benefits of this scheme under the basis of the following points:

Economic Condition.
Behaviour of the student in the college premises.
Academic progress of the student.
Discussion of the student with the Principal.
Performance of the student in various college activities.

On the basis of the above conditions, an approximate amount of Rs. 12,000 is distributed every year among the economically backward students.
