Narayanaguru College of Engineering (NGCE), Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu was established in the academic year 2002-2003 and it is an affiliated college. Located in a 10.47 acre land, NGCE is a conglomerate of engineering and management discipline. University is certified by National Assessment and accreditation council (NAAC) and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The overall student intake is 452 and at present; the faculty strength of NGCE is 148 which offers effective teaching atmosphere. The college provides 16 programmes across 4 bachelor degree programmes in the fields of engineering and management.
Narayanaguru College of Engineering possesses countless facilities of the twentieth century standards. The college library is highly equipped with more than 18903 books in engineering & management specializations along with IEEE magazines & publications and e resources. Fully furnished, modern state-of-art laboratories with modern day instruments provides the students with all practical requirements possible. Indeed the campus has aseparate amenities for students and these include hostels for boys and girls the students are provided withcomfortable accommodation, they are also provided with tasty and healthy meals. Currently, the institute has various degree courses in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. These are BE courses offered in specific fields of engineering for instance computer engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical and communication engineering. Located at the post graduate level, NGCE provides ME Specializations in Applied Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, VLSI Design, etc. The college also delivers MBA and MCA course. The sanctioned admission capacity for all courses is 452 students, while for the BE in Computer Science and Engineering it is 120.
The admission policy of NGCE is merit base, and it follows directives of Anna University as a standard university in the country. The college accepts transfer certificates from standardized academic exams such as GATE, CEETA-PG, and the TANCET. Generally, these tests are administered during the first half of the academic year, and admissions are made soon after. The physical facility, namely the NGCE offers enough opportunity to the students to represent their college in inter collegiate games conducted by the Anna University. Narayanaguru College of Engineering (NGCE), Kanyakumari, is among the affiliated institutions duly recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is a merit-based entry system following the Anna University (affiliating University) ordinances. Admission opportunities are widely available with a large number of programmes in engineering and management that range from undergraduate to postgraduate.
NGCE admission process generally starts in the first half of the academic year, after the conduct of standardised entrance exams for NGCE admission to undergraduate engineering programmes based on the state-level entrance examinations. For postgraduate NGCE admission, among the factors that are taken into account are the GATE eligibility exam and some other entrance examinations, such as the CEETA-PG and TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test).
For undergraduate programmes, candidates must have passed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board. On the other hand, master's candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university.

NGCE offers six B.E. programmes: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Automobile Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. These programmes are offered NGCE admission based on the merit of the state-level engineering entrance examination. The B.E. programme in Computer Science and Engineering has the maximum intake of 120 seats.
The college offers a B.Tech programme in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for an intake of 60 students. This would follow similar NGCE admission procedures to the B.E. Programmes.
NGCE offers an M.E. specialisation in Applied Electronics, Computer Science & Engineering, VLSI Design, Structural Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, and Manufacturing Engineering. NGCE admission procedures for these programmes consider the GATE scores and might include additional tests or interviews. Each of the M.E. programmes has an intake capacity that ranges from 8 to 16.
The intake for the MBA programme at NGCE is 90 students. NGCE admissions are based on the TANCET scores, following which a selection process has to be undertaken. This may include group discussions and personal interviews.
The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme has an intake of 30 students. NGCE admission process would be the same as for other postgraduate programmes, relying on the scores of the corresponding entrance exams.
