The science labs have facilities like eyewash stations for chemistry practicals, fire extinguishers, and proper ventilation. The computer centre and laboratory, with a total of 54 computers, are spread in different departments. For extracurricular activities and events, Ratnam College has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 700 people and an audio-visual room. It offers diverse academic courses for all students with many interests and diverse career aspirations. 

The college has spread its offerings to 14 courses, including full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. Undergraduate courses are being offered as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), B.Sc in Computer Science, B.Com in Banking and Insurance, B.Com in Accounting and Finance, B.Sc in Information Technology, and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS). The college is also offering postgraduate courses like M.Com, M.Sc. in Physics, and M.Sc. in Chemistry. Doctoral courses (Ph.D.) are available in Botany, Physics, and Commerce also. With 2,181 student intakes within all programmes, it goes to illustrate the fact that the college believes in the rigorous provision of quality education for a huge number of students.
