Continuing education programmes are the short or part time courses provided for adults after they left the formal education system or students pursuing their final year / semester or in 12th standard. NIFT offers a diverse array of continuing Education programmes to support the industry as well as aspiring and working professional.This programmes help aspiring professionals to get trained,entry level professionals to get advanced training,mid level professionals to upgrade their skills and also help professionals to re enter the industry.These programmes are aimed at offering value added programmes to the local students from the state,where NIFT campuses are located and to facilate lateral entry to the existing degree programmes of NIFT.Registration for this programme can be done online as well as manually by downloading the registration form available online.The completed filled registration form has to be submitted at NIFT study centre,superscribed " CE Registration Form" along with the DD of Rs. 2150/- +18% GST for one year programmes and Rs.1200/- +18% GST for programmes of six months duration and less.The list of programmes and there fees, that will be offered through online/on campus will be announced separately by the respective campuses.Candidates in 12 th class/final year/final semester are eligible to apply for CEP Provisionally,with the following conditions:

The student who are seeking provisional admission due to non-declaration of their qualifying examination will provide proof of having passed all papers in all previous years/semester.

The student will submit the final result of qualifying degree/certificate providing his/her eligibility.

In case student attends a programme but fails to qualify the qualification examination,no certificate will be issued.

NIFT insitutes are counted as the most reputed colleges for Fashion and design related courses. As per the rankings, NIFT Patna has good rankings by NIFT Bhubaneswar. However, the infrastructure facilities provided by both the colleges is almost same such as Garment construction lab, Pattern making lab, smart classrooms, Nescafe shop, resource centre , weave room, hostel facilities, etc. The faculty members in both are also highly skilled and supportive.

But placement record of NIFT Patna is slightly better than NIFT Bhubaneswar due to the good rank.  Top recruiting companies visit NIFT Patna such as Myntra, Levi's, Aditya Birla Group, RIL, Shahi exports, Orient Craft and many other big fashion designers and houses of the Indian Fashion Industry with avergae salary package of 4-5 LPA. For NIFT Bhubaneswar, top recruiting companies are Tanishq, CaratLane, Syska, Sabyasachi, PC Jewelers, Bewakoof, etc.

NIFT offers very few diploma courses now as they shifted towards the Continuing Education Programs that are also known as ceps. These are one-year/6 months long programs and benefits candidates in enhancing their skills further.

As you are interested in diploma courses, listed below are the courses offered by NIFT.
Diploma in Fashion and Retail Store Operations, NIFT Chennai
Diploma in Fashion Fit and Style, NIFT Chennai
Diploma in Textile CAD, NIFT Chennai

Following is the process for lateral entry admissions into NIFT campuses for various courses. Candidates need to appear for the written test i.e General Ability Test (GAT) conducted by the college. Then the Shortlisted candidates will be called for Studio Test based on the score obtained in GAT examination. After the studio test,h the shotrlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview based on the score obtained in Studio Test.
