Overall infrastructure is good, has a library, a resource center. One can get a good resource that is not available outside the campus, for examples books and magazines that are not available outside at any bookstore

    A NIFTy package of experience

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

NIFT is a reputed institution when it comes to Design and Fashion Management and Tech. I have almost completed my first year, and here is what I think. The campus is pretty small, but has all the facilities. A huge Library, well equipped labs, stationery, etc., Campus has its wifi and every class has its own projectors and desktop systems. Overall a NIFTy package of everything required.

    Academics

Teachers are professionals working in the industry for a long time now. They are well experienced and have the required skillset to adapt to new curriculum, as seen in the case that the college recently mandated laptops for everyone, and other digital instruments like a camera (optional, phones will do), right from the first year.

    Placements

I don't know for sure, but this might be the region where it lacks. I currently have no idea about the placements, some say they're poor, whereas some say that many got placed at very reputable and great posts.

    Value for Money

Almost all the design colleges in India have a similar or maybe even higher fee structure.

    Campus Life

The campus is small to roam around, but is well equipped. 5 canteens, stationery, WiFi all across the campus, and projector equipped classrooms. And yes it can handle emergencies, few changes have been made to help tackle emergencies in a more responsive way.

    Others

I am having fun, though at times one feels like there is a lot of work but still that work is enjoyable for me.

    College Infrastructure

All the labs and classrooms are well equipped with the required machines for different departments. Classrooms are air conditioned. Wi-Fi is limited to the main classroom buildings only. The overall campus is hygenic.

    Academics

I have taken Fashion Design because I want to experience fashion in depth. It is one of the most difficult departments and the faculties try to make students understand the different aspects of the fashion industry and make them job ready.

    Placements

The placements have been best as compared to any other design college in India. Though most of the students in their respective departments leave their specifications and then start their own business, so not very much students go to work for a brand.

    Value for Money

It is a government college so it is cheaper than other private fashion colleges. The fees pee semester is 1.5 lakh on an average. The experience and knowledge that NIFT, Delhi provides is worth the money.

    Campus Life

Campus life is good as students are free to interact with seniors and even faculties. Different activities keep taking place in the college. The campus area is a bit small so it is not easy to play all sorts of sports inside. The location is very amazing, metro at walking distance and everything is available nearby.

Nift question paper kitne marks ka hota hai or patern kya hai

The NIFT entrance exam has two main parts: CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test). The total marks and pattern depend on the course you are applying for.

If you are applying for B.Des (Bachelor of Design), then you have to take both CAT and GAT.
CAT tests your creative skills like drawing and imagination.
GAT tests your English, Math, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Case Study skills.
CAT is for 50 marks, GAT is for 30 marks, and if you qualify, you also appear for a Situation Test of 20 marks where you make a 3D model.
    Total = 100 marks.

If you are applying for B.FTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology), then you only have to take GAT.
GAT in this case is for 100 marks. There is no CAT or Situation Test.

In the GAT paper, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. CAT and Situation Test are judged based on creativity, not MCQs.

Hii this is Prathyusha yadav. I haven't passed out my degree then I'm eligible to study in NIFT clg or entrance exam and if not possible then I will continue to my 12 qualification?

Hi Prathyusha Yadav. Here’s a clear answer based on your situation:

If you have not completed your degree, that’s okay — because you don’t need a degree to apply for most undergraduate courses in NIFT.

You are eligible to apply for NIFT’s UG programs (like B.Des or B.F.Tech) if you have passed Class 12 or are currently appearing in the final exam of 12th standard. You do not need to have a degree for these.

So yes, you can definitely apply for the NIFT entrance exam and study at NIFT based on your Class 12 qualification. If you are currently in college but haven’t finished your degree, you don’t need to continue it just for eligibility. Your 12th is enough.
