Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur, Tripura, is an affiliated college that started in the year 1979. This institution has a 5 acre area and it provides a wide spectrum of undergraduate programs. Library with an assets of thirty-eight thousand, seven hundred and eighty-one volumes remains a vital source of information enriches by the students and faculties. With regards to games and sports the college provides facilities for outdoor games as well as also physical fitness through use of a gymnasium. The institution also boasts of its IT facilities with ninety computers to support the students uses, thirty of these computers are connected with LAN modem in the Computer Science laboratory.

There Are Many Undergraduate Programs Offered by Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya and All the Programs are of Full Time Bases. This college offers 28 courses mostly in arts and sciences and across other fields of study. Among the following degrees they have BA in English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Political Science, Education and history and B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, botany, Human physiology and zoology. B.Com and BCA are the other college courses that it also provides. 

The mode of entry to the Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya is done through merit, from the Higher Secondary (+2) examination. In most of the cases, the ‘merit list’ is prepared with the aggregate of the five best subjects of H.S. (+2) exam and the other mark[s] obtained in the subject of Major.

The primary mode of entry to Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya is through merit, based on the Junior Secondary School Certificate (+2) examination results. For most courses, the college prepares a merit list considering the aggregate of the five best subjects in the H.S. (+2) exam along with the marks in chosen subjects of major.

Application Process

  1. Firstly, make sure to be eligible for taking the 10+2 from a recognized board.

  2. Choose the program to apply for. A maximum of three major subjects can be applied for at one college.

  3. Get the application form. Fill it up. Then see either through the college website or by contacting the concerned admissions office regarding the current way of submitting (online/offline).

  4. Get the required certificates ready, which include:
    • Mark sheets of 10th and 12th

    • Category certificate (if applicable)

  5. The college draws up a merit list for candidate selection on the basis of the marks obtained in each program.

  6. If selected, report to the college for document verification, complete the admission formalities, and fee obligations.

  7. Hostel accommodation is available for eligible students; it is a 50-seater hostel for male students of scheduled tribes only. Ask about the hostel application process if applicable.

Degree-wise Admission Process

BA Programs:
Netaji Subhas Mahavidyalaya provides BA in English, Bengali, Sanskrit, Political Science, Education, History, Kokborok, Philosophy, Economics, Geography, and Psychology. The admission procedure is based on a merit list prepared from the sum total of marks of the best five subjects in the H.S. (+2) exam and the marks obtained in the subject opted for as a major. For some subjects, like Philosophy, admission is strictly on merit. Depending on the program, the intake varies from a low of 30 seats (Geography, Psychology) to a high of 200 seats (English, Bengali, Political Science, Education, History).

B.Sc Programs:
There are six streams in Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Human Physiology. The merit list is prepared based on the sum of marks of the best five subjects in the H.S. (+2) exam plus marks in the major subject. Selection for Human Physiology is strictly merit. Most programs have an intake of 50 seats.

B.Com Programs:
The merit list for B.Com. and B.Com. in Accountancy Major is based on the sum of marks in best five subjects in HS (+2) examination and the marks in major subject. Both programs consist of 100 seats.

For other programs:
The institution runs BCA, BBA, and DCA self-financing programs along with M.A. in English and Bengali.
