About Nimra College of Pharmacy, Krishna

One of the premier institutions for pharmaceutical education is Nimra College of Pharmacy, Krishna. This is a co-educational college established in the year 2006 at Ibrahimpatnam, Vijayawada, in Andhra Pradesh. The campus is spread over 2.5 acres, and NCP is an affiliated college approved by PCI. The institute offers courses in various programs of pharmacy—from undergraduate and postgraduate to doctoral studies. NCP has a total enrolment for students of 343. Having a faculty strength of 43 experienced individuals, it upholds the student-to-teacher ratio to be such that is highly conducive for individual learning and academic excellence.

The college is great in terms of facilities, keeping pace with the requirements of students towards learning, extracurricular, and other developmental activities. At the hub of NCP's academic resources is a well-stocked library of over 50,000 books and more than 100 national and international journals. This library is updated periodically with new literature in the form of textbooks, reference books, and e-resources, which ensures that students have exposure to the most recent information in the field of pharmacy. It also has well-equipped, ultra-modern laboratories with sophisticated apparatuses that help students get practical experience in the skills they will need in their later life. 

Nimra College of Pharmacy offers all courses related to pharmaceutical studies with various specialisations. The Institute offers five full-time programs. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma), Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharma) with Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis specialisations, Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), and Pharm.D. Post Baccalaureate. Each of these programs is aimed at equipping the students with loads of knowledge and practical skills required in the pharmaceutical industry.

Nimra College of Pharmacy, Krishna Admission

Nimra College of Pharmacy (NCP) is one of the oldest institutions situated in Krishna offering pharmacy courses. It is affiliated and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India which guarantees the quality of pharmacy programs being given.

Nimra College of Pharmacy has been selective in getting students who have a knack for pharmaceutical studies. The college has B. Pharma, M. Pharma, and Ph. D. programs in pharmacy-related studies to accommodate different backgrounds and aspirations of students. It boasts about having a fair and comprehensive admission policy for conducting admission.

Application Process

1. Entrance Examination: Candidature for particular entrance examination courses be adopted by the candidates such as those offered at state level or nationals level.

2. Application Submission: After qualifying in entrance examination the applicant will be to fill the application form of Nimra College of Pharmacy.

3. Document Submission: The eligible candidates will have to attach appropriate documentation usually including:

  • Score card entrance exam
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Transfer certificate.
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent photographs sized a passport.

4. Counseling Process: On the merit basis, selected candidates will be called up for counseling wherein they can opt for a chosen course according to rank secured and availability of seat.

5. Fee Deposit: The candidate should pay the fee soon after the seat allotment.

6. Document Verification: Admission confirmation procedure consists of document verification at the institute.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B. Pharma: 100 seats are available for this course through an approved B. Pharma course. Admittance here might be based on entrance examinations and academic performance of the candidate. Eligibility generally comprises passing of 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

M. Pharma: The major programs offered at NCP under M. Pharma are:
M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics: Approved intake of 18.
M. Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis: Approved intake of 18.

Normally, M. Pharm admissions are made available for candidates with a B. Pharma degree from any recognized university. Admission thus usually comprises taking an entrance exam.

Pharm.D: A total of 30 seats are allocated in Pharm. D at NCP. Doctor of Pharmacy is a six-year doctoral program with admission straight from 10+2. To qualify for enrollment in this course, a student is required to pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics in the 10+2 school subjects.

Post-baccalaureate Pharm.D.: For post-baccalaureate Pharm. D, NCP has rightly been able to set aside 10 seats in favour of candidates who have already pursued their B. Pharma and would like to proceed on for Pharm. D.
